One of the easiest ways to build a website is to use some sort of content management platform to provides a framework for pages and blog posts. Many people use WordPress, including me. But just because the platform puts everything in place doesn’t mean there’s no learning curve. Because WordPress allows so much customization, it can be a bit overwhelming, particularly for those without much technical experience.
That’s where WordPress user groups come in, providing support and sounding boards for pretty much anything you need to know about managing a website with WordPress. And there’s a WordPress user group right here in Kansas City! Allow me to introduce you to WordPress Kansas City.

There is always some networking, but generally we have a lecture with questions and answers.
What do you love about the group?
I love this group for the same reason I love the WordPress community in general. Everyone is very generous with their knowledge and time. It’s a very collaborative and supportive group and that’s a wonderful thing to see!
What future plans lay ahead for the group?
We’re in the middle of planning our next big event, WordCamp Kansas City, which will take place June 10-12, 2016.
Where can someone find more information about your group?
