Pi Day in Kansas City

March 14th is known as “Pi Day,” after the first three numbers in Pi – 3.14. People often celebrate Pi Day in the most obvious way – by eating pie. Get irrational with other pi(e)-lovers with these Kansas City Pi Day celebrations!

Where to celebrate Pi Day Kansas City-style

  • Science City at Union Station is hosting a day-long Pi Day event, featuring pi-themed activities and demos, plus Tippin’s pie giveaways.
  • The Upper Crust in downtown Overland Park is offering a special Pi Day deal: 3 slices for $14. Expect a long line, because they are known as one of the best places to get pie in Kansas City.
    • If you can’t make it to The Upper Crust on Pi Day, also check out their Third Friday Pie Flight deal: pick three slices from a menu of six pie flavors for $8, 5-8pm, while supplies last. Wine and ice cream also available!
  • MidiCi Neapolitan Pizza Company at 88th & State Line in KCMO is offering a Margherita Pizza for $3.14 all day in celebration of Pi Day.
  • Michael Forbes Bar & Grille in Brookside also has a Pi Day special: homemade Sour Cream Apple Pie for $3.14. Valid for dine-in only during lunch and dinner.
  • SPIN! Pizza has multiple locations in the KC area, and is offering a Pi Day deal: order one 12″ pizza at regular price, get a second for $3.14.
  • Cherry Pit Collective maker space is hosting a homeless outreach happy hour called Period-Packing Pi Day Party. There will be homemade pie samples and snacks to nibble on, fun cocktails, and they’ll be packing up period packs that will be delivered to the homeless community. RSVP and bring a box of feminine hygiene products to donate.
